The Husqvarna 250 range covers two opposing engine architectures within the same 249 cc displacement: the TC 250 (two-stroke injection) and the FC 250 (four-stroke injection). These two bikes share the same bodywork family per generation, but their graphic kits remain model-specific. Always specify whether you ride a TC (2T) or an FC (4T) when ordering.
The Husqvarna 250 range went through a bodywork break between 2022 and 2023. Identifying your generation is the first step: plastics from 2019-2022 are not compatible with those from 2023 onwards, and neither are the graphic kits.
Both models share a 249 cc displacement, a liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine and approximately 43 hp. Their engine architecture is radically different, however: the TC 250 is a two-stroke with a 39 mm Keihin body, built for pure motocross competition. The FC 250 is a four-stroke with a 44 mm Keihin body, equally competition-focused. Both are off-road competition machines, not road-registered. Regarding the “FS” designation in the kit name: this is a commercial label used by some graphic kit publishers to indicate compatibility with supermoto-style bodywork – it does not refer to a factory Husqvarna 250 FS model, as the official Husqvarna supermoto range is limited to the FS 450.
