Riding a Yamaha road bike – MT07, MT09, R1 or R6? Those models have a separate dedicated section: see our Yamaha street and road graphics category. Content here covers off-road and adventure models only.

Model and generation compatibility

Yamaha graphics kit templates vary by model and generation: a YZ 125/250 kit for 2015-2021 is not compatible with the 2022 generation, and a YZF 450 from 2018-2022 differs from the 2023 and later generation. Ordering the wrong generation means misaligned cuts. Check your model year before ordering.

YZ 125 and YZ 250 – fairing generations

The YZ 125 and YZ 250 share a common plastic kit design, making generation identification straightforward:

  • Generation 1 (2015-2021) : shared plastic kit for both 125 and 250, compact design with clean lines
  • Generation 2 (2022 onwards) : fully redesigned bodywork with more aggressive shapes and larger panels – generation-specific templates required from 2022

Browse dedicated kits on the YZ 125 and YZ 250 graphics kit page.

YZF 250 and YZF 450 – fairing generations

The YZF 250 and YZF 450 share a plastic kit across overlapping production periods, then diverge with major chassis updates:

  • YZF 250 : 2019-2023 generation (one shared plastic kit across this period) / 2024 and later (all-new aluminium chassis, bodywork 50mm narrower – non-interchangeable templates)
  • YZF 450 : 2018-2022 generation (plastic kit shared with YZF 250 2019-2023) / 2023 and later (new dedicated twin-spar aluminium chassis, fully redesigned bodywork)

Find your generation on the YZF 250 graphics kit and YZF 450 graphics kit pages.

Ténéré 700 – model years covered

The Ténéré 700 comes in three configurations, each with its own bodywork and graphics template:

  • Ténéré 700 standard 2019-2024 : single main bodywork generation across this period
  • Ténéré 700 2025 and later : updated bodywork with ride-by-wire, traction control and riding modes
  • Ténéré 700 World Raid (from 2022) : distinct template – dual approximately 23-litre tanks, specific half-fairing, KYB 46mm Kashima fork and spoked adventure wheels

See the Ténéré 700 graphics kit for standard models and the Ténéré 700 World Raid graphics kit for the adventure version.

Custom graphics, made in France

Every Yamaha graphics kit is made to order in France, in premium vinyl, using templates precisely cut for your model and your year. This is not a generic pre-printed design shipped from stock. Every order starts with a digital mockup sent for your approval by email before production begins.

Customisation options include:

  • Colours and colour combinations (solid, two-tone, full custom)
  • Gloss, satin or matte finishes
  • Race numbers and fonts
  • Personal logos and graphic layouts

Whether you want a YZ 125 2023 in Yamaha Factory blue with a red race number, or a YZF 450 2024 in sand enduro tones, the design is entirely yours to define. For a coordinated look, explore our motorbike helmet graphics kit range alongside your bike kit.

Premium vinyl – materials and durability

Yamaha graphics kits are produced in automotive-grade vinyl (3M, Hexis, Oracal, Avery Dennison), 200 to 300 microns thick for off-road and road use, with anti-UV lamination for long-lasting colour. This makes them resistant to mud, pressure washing, UV exposure and the thermal variation that comes with hard riding.

The anti-UV laminate layer protects colour from sun exposure – the primary cause of fade on graphics kits used regularly outdoors. Kits are removable without residue on clean plastics, making them a reversible option for riders who want to change their look between seasons. Application is straightforward with a squeegee at room temperature; for complex curves on adventure fairings such as the Ténéré 700, a slow and careful approach avoids alignment issues.

FAQ – Yamaha graphics kits

Which Yamaha models are covered in this category – YZ, YZF and Ténéré?

This category covers the full Yamaha off-road and trail range: YZ 125, YZ 250 (2-stroke), YZF 250, YZF 450 (4-stroke), Ténéré 700 standard (2019-2024 and 2025 models), and Ténéré 700 World Raid (from 2022). Road Yamaha models (MT07, MT09, R1) are in a separate section.

What is the difference between a YZ 125/250 graphics kit for 2015-2021 and the 2022 generation?

The 2022 generation introduced a fully redesigned bodywork with more aggressive shapes and larger panels. Templates from the 2015-2021 period are not compatible with 2022 and later bikes. Always confirm your model year before selecting a kit.

Is a YZF 250 graphics kit from 2019-2023 compatible with the 2024 model?

No. The YZF 250 2024 received an all-new aluminium chassis and bodywork that is 50mm narrower than the previous generation. Templates from 2019-2023 do not fit the 2024 model. Separate kits are available for each generation.

Can I have custom race numbers on a Yamaha YZ graphics kit?

Yes. Race numbers, number formats and fonts are fully customisable on every Yamaha kit. You choose the number, the colour and the style. All options are confirmed at the digital mockup stage before production.

What is the difference between the standard Ténéré 700 and the World Raid for graphics kits?

The World Raid features a specific half-fairing, dual approximately 23-litre tanks and a distinct adventure silhouette. Its bodywork template differs from the standard model. Separate graphics kits exist for each version – ordering the correct variant ensures a precise fit.

What vinyl is used for Yamaha motocross graphics kits?

Kits are produced in premium automotive vinyl from 3M, Hexis, Oracal and Avery Dennison, at a thickness of 200 to 300 microns for off-road use. All kits are finished with an anti-UV laminate layer to protect colour and extend outdoor durability.

Does a Yamaha motocross graphics kit withstand mud, pressure washing and UV exposure?

Yes. The anti-UV laminated vinyl resists mud, thermal variation and standard pressure washing. Kits are removable without residue on clean plastics. Avoid applying a pressure washer jet directly to the edges of the vinyl during cleaning.

Can I replicate the Yamaha Factory blue and white colour scheme?

Yes. Yamaha Factory colour schemes are available as a starting point, fully adjustable by colour, finish and race number. You can replicate the factory look exactly or adapt it with your own colours and logos – confirmed at the digital proof stage.

What is the difference between a Yamaha “replica” graphics kit and a 100% custom kit?

A replica kit uses the manufacturer colour scheme as a base – blue and white in Yamaha’s case. A 100% custom kit starts from scratch: colours, finishes, graphics and race numbers are defined entirely by the rider. Both options go through a digital mockup approval before production.

Can I fit a Yamaha YZ graphics kit myself?

Yes. Vinyl graphics kits are accessible for self-installation with a squeegee, a cleaning solution and a heat source. Instructions are included. For models with complex fairing curves – such as the Ténéré 700 World Raid – professional installation removes the risk of misalignment on tight panels.
