It is powered by an 889 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin derived directly from the KTM 890 Duke R – sharing the same cylinder head, internals, and bottom end – housed in a Kramer-specific chromoly steel trellis frame. Output is approximately 130 hp at 9,500 rpm, with a dry weight of around 141 kg, giving a power-to-weight ratio firmly in racing territory. It competes in twins championships including AHRMA events, and runs without ABS.

The films are drawn from the professional ranges of 3M, Hexis, Oracal, and Avery – materials trusted for long-term durability on competition motorcycles.

Application uses a soft squeegee to remove air bubbles. The adhesive is repositionable during fitting and removable without residue on a clean fairing. Yes. The GP2-890R template covers the 2020 to 2023 model years without any modification. The fairing is identical across the full range. For bikes from 2024 onwards, the relevant model is the GP2 890 RR, which uses a different fairing template.

What is the difference between the GP2 890 R and the GP2 890 RR?

The GP2 890 RR (2024) replaces the GP2 890 R (2020-2023). The RR produces 138 hp compared to approximately 130 hp for the R, and adds an IMU, traction control, and wheelie control, with a raised rev limit of 11,500 rpm. The fairing also changes between the two generations, making the templates incompatible.

Does the Kramer GP2 890 R require a full licence?

Yes. The GP2 890 R is a track-only motorcycle, not road-legal, and its output of approximately 130 hp is well above any A2 licence restriction. It is intended exclusively for circuit use.
