Which BMW GS models are available – F900, R1250 and R1300 GS

This section covers graphics kits for every current generation of BMW GS trail and adventure motorcycle, with a dedicated template for each model and year of production. Kits are not interchangeable between generations – bodywork profiles differ significantly from one model year to the next.

F 900 GS 2024

The F 900 GS received a complete redesign for 2024 : new side panels, revised rear section and a new front mudguard profile. The engine produces 105 hp at 8 500 rpm from an 895 cc parallel twin, and the bike weighs 219 kg wet – 14 kg lighter than its predecessor. The 2024 bodywork change means earlier F 900 GS templates are not compatible with this generation. Find the dedicated range on the F 900 GS 2024 graphics kit page.

R 1250 GS 2019-2023

The R 1250 GS ShiftCam generation covers model years 2019 to 2023 (commercial production). The 1 254 cc boxer engine with variable valve timing gives this generation a distinctive engine profile and characteristic side panel shapes. It remains one of the best-selling adventure motorcycles in Europe. Browse available designs on the R 1250 GS 2019-2023 graphics kit page.

R 1250 GS Adventure 2019-2023

The R 1250 GS Adventure shares its engine with the standard GS but has a distinct bodywork profile : a 21-inch front wheel (versus 19 inches on the standard version), a taller front mudguard and a larger fuel tank. The side panels have a different cut template – a standard R 1250 GS kit will not fit the Adventure variant correctly. See the R 1250 GS Adventure 2019-2023 graphics kit page for the full catalogue.

R 1300 GS 2023-2024 and R 1300 GS Adventure 2024-2025

The R 1300 GS was unveiled in September 2023 for the 2024 model year, featuring a completely new chassis architecture, new side panel geometry and a revised front section. The engine produces 145 hp at 7 750 rpm from a 1 301 cc flat-twin – 12 kg lighter than the R 1250 GS at 237 kg wet. The R 1300 GS Adventure premiered at the BMW Motorrad Days in July 2024. Templates for these two models are entirely new and incompatible with any previous GS generation. Find the kits on the R 1300 GS 2023-2024 graphics kit and R 1300 GS Adventure 2024-2025 graphics kit pages.

Custom graphics made in France – premium vinyl for trail conditions

Every BMW GS graphics kit is produced to order in France, in premium polymer vinyl at 200 to 300 microns thickness, precision-cut to the bodywork of your specific model and year. This is not an off-the-shelf printed kit – each order starts with a digital artwork preview sent for your approval before production begins.

Vinyl is sourced from professional adhesive brands including 3M, Hexis, Oracal and Avery Dennison. These materials are selected specifically for trail conditions : resistance to gravel impacts, branch scrapes and the thermal cycling that adventure riding imposes on plastic fairings. An anti-UV lamination is applied to every kit to protect printed colours from fading during intensive outdoor use.

The year-specific cutting template matters on the GS range. The R 1250 GS 2019 fairing profile is different from the R 1300 GS 2023 architecture – selecting the correct model year is the only way to guarantee a clean fit on every panel.

Full personalisation – colours, finishes and adventure styling

BMW GS graphics kits are available in standard colour options or as a fully bespoke configuration, with complete freedom over every colour, logo and finish – matt, gloss, metallic or satin. There are no constraints on design : understated trail palettes (matt black, anthracite grey, sand beige), bold adventure schemes (trail orange, expedition blue, rally red), or a fully custom layout built around your own colour references.

An R 1300 GS 2024 in expedition blue with matt black accents, or an R 1250 GS Adventure in Dakar-style sand and red – every configuration goes through the same artwork approval step before production. Custom rider numbers and name stickers are also available as additions to any kit.

For riders who want a coordinated look across bike and helmet, a matching helmet graphics kit is available as a complement to any BMW GS order.

Fitting a BMW GS graphics kit – trail specifics

Fitting a BMW GS graphics kit follows the same process as any road bike kit – clean surface, room temperature, soft squeegee – but the large, flat side panels of the GS make self-fitting more accessible than on a full-fairing sportsbike. Every kit arrives pre-cut and ready to apply, with no trimming required.

Work in a warm indoor space on a clean, degreased fairing. A soft squeegee removes air bubbles progressively from the centre outwards. The GS side panels are among the most forgiving surfaces for a first-time application. Professional fitting is also available for riders who prefer a specialist finish – ask at the time of order.

Kits are compatible with OEM BMW plastics and standard aftermarket panels. Apply before any off-road use for best adhesion on clean surfaces.

FAQ – BMW GS Graphics Kits

Which BMW GS models are covered in this category?

This category includes graphics kits for the BMW GS trail and adventure range : F 900 GS 2024, R 1250 GS 2019-2023, R 1250 GS Adventure 2019-2023, R 1300 GS 2023-2024 and R 1300 GS Adventure 2024-2025. Each model has its own cutting template – kits are not interchangeable between generations.

Is an R 1250 GS graphics kit compatible with an R 1300 GS?

No. The BMW R 1300 GS (launched for the 2024 model year) has a completely new bodywork profile compared to the R 1250 GS 2019-2023 : new chassis geometry, different side panel shapes and a revised front section. Templates are specific to each generation. Select your exact model and year to receive the correct kit.

Does the R 1250 GS Adventure have the same bodywork as the standard R 1250 GS?

No. The R 1250 GS Adventure features a 21-inch front wheel (versus 19 inches on the standard GS), a taller front mudguard and a larger tank. The side panels have a different cut template. A graphics kit designed for the standard GS will not fit the Adventure variant correctly.

Do BMW GS graphics kits resist gravel and trail conditions?

Yes. Kits are produced in laminated polymer vinyl at 200 to 300 microns thickness, with an anti-UV protective laminate. The vinyl absorbs the micro-impacts typical of trail riding – gravel spray, low branches, stone chips – without cracking or peeling. Apply to a clean, dry fairing before any off-road use for best adhesion.

Can I choose the colours on a BMW GS graphics kit?

Yes, completely. Kits are available in standard colour options or as a fully bespoke design : you select every colour, every logo and every finish (matt, gloss, metallic or satin). A digital preview is sent for your approval before production begins.

What vinyl is used in BMW GS graphics kits?

Kits are produced in premium polymer vinyl from 3M, Hexis, Oracal or Avery Dennison, at 200 to 300 microns thickness. An anti-UV lamination is applied to every kit to protect printed colours from fading in outdoor and trail use.

Can I fit a BMW GS graphics kit myself?

Yes. The large, relatively flat side panels of the GS make self-fitting more accessible than on a full-fairing sportsbike. The kit arrives pre-cut and ready to apply. Work in a warm space, on a clean degreased surface, with a soft squeegee to remove air bubbles progressively.

What is the difference between a graphics kit and a full vinyl wrap for a BMW GS?

A graphics kit consists of pre-cut vinyl decals applied to the existing fairings (side panels, mudguards, headlight surround) to change the bike’s appearance. A full wrap covers every plastic panel with a solid-colour film. A graphics kit is more affordable, faster to apply and allows complex graphic designs that a plain wrap cannot achieve.
