The R 1300 GS 2023: new generation, new fairings

The BMW R 1300 GS unveiled in September 2023 introduces a generation that differs structurally from the R 1250 GS. A graphic kit designed for the R 1250 GS is not compatible with this model year.

What sets the R 1300 GS 2023 apart

The boxer engine grows to 1,300 cc with BMW’s variable valve timing ShiftCam technology and a balancer shaft. Power output reaches 145 hp (107 kW) at 7,750 rpm with 149 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm – the most powerful boxer BMW has ever produced in series. The main frame is now a steel plate construction with a cast aluminium rear subframe. The matrix LED headlight, fuel tank and side panels have been completely redesigned: the geometry of the panels to be decorated differs from the previous generation.

Model year compatibility

This graphic kit covers the 2023, 2024 and 2025 model years (current generation). The R 1300 GS Adventure uses specific tank panels and side fairings. If you own the Adventure version, please refer to the dedicated R 1300 GS ADVENTURE 2024 GRAPHIC KIT.

Do you own a different BMW model?

The BMW range also includes the F900 GS 2024 GRAPHIC KIT and the R 1250 GS ADVENTURE 2018-2023 GRAPHIC KIT. Browse all BMW references on the brand hub or explore the full range on the category hub.

Custom personalisation: made in France

Stock design or fully personalised

Every kit ships ready to apply with its standard design. You can also request full personalisation: colours from our swatch range, logo integration, rider numbers, plain or graphic backgrounds, and finishes in matt, gloss or chrome. A professional fitting service is available if you prefer to have the kit applied for you.

A digital proof is sent for your approval before any cutting begins – you confirm the final look before production starts.

3 designs in the catalogue

The R 1300 GS 2023 catalogue offers 3 designs. Each design follows a distinct visual direction – racing livery, adventure trail style or clean minimalist look. All 3 designs are fully customisable in colours and graphic elements.

Materials and vinyl: what goes on your GS

Stickers Project graphic kits are made from high-resistance 200 to 300 micron vinyl with a UV-resistant laminate to keep colours intact over time. The vinyl brands used are 3M, Hexis, Oracal and Avery – professional-grade references used in vehicle wrapping and body shop applications.

Installation is done with a squeegee, with no primer required. The vinyl is removable without leaving residue on the original fairings. If you also want to personalise your helmet, the helmet graphics kit range follows the same process and the same premium materials.

FAQ – BMW R 1300 GS 2023

Is an R 1250 GS graphic kit compatible with the R 1300 GS 2023?

No. The R 1300 GS 2023 features completely redesigned fairings – matrix LED headlight, revised tank and side panels – compared to the R 1250 GS. The cutting templates are different and a kit made for the previous generation will not fit correctly.

What is the difference between the R 1300 GS standard and the R 1300 GS Adventure?

Both models share the same 1,300 cc boxer engine, but the Adventure version uses a larger fuel tank and specific side panels. The geometry of the panels to be decorated is different, so each variant has its own dedicated templates and graphic kits.

Is the R 1300 GS 2023 eligible for an A2 licence?

No. The R 1300 GS produces 107 kW, which far exceeds the A2 limit of 35 kW. BMW does not offer a restricted A2 version of this model.

How many designs are available for the R 1300 GS 2023?

The catalogue offers 3 designs. Each design is fully customisable in its colours, logos and graphic elements.

Can I keep the original BMW colours or choose my own?

Both options are available. You can order a kit in the manufacturer’s original colour scheme or go for a fully personalised palette. A swatch range is available on request, and a digital proof is sent for your approval before production.

What vinyl materials are used in the graphic kits?

Kits are produced using 200 to 300 micron vinyl with UV-resistant lamination. The brands used are 3M, Hexis, Oracal and Avery. Installation uses a squeegee and the vinyl is removable without leaving residue on the original fairings.
