This template covers all model years 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, which share the same LC8 V-twin 75-degree plastic architecture.

The 1290 Super Adventure R 2017-2020 graphic kit is designed for the first generation of the Super Adventure R, identifiable by its rally-style fairing with wide side panels, 21-inch spoked front wheel and long-travel WP inverted fork (220 mm). This bodywork is distinct from the 2021-2024 generation, which received a thorough redesign. If your bike was registered between 2017 and 2020, this template is the correct one.
The KTM 1290 Super Adventure R 2017-2020 is powered by the LC8 1,301 cc V-twin producing 160 hp (~118 kW) and 140 Nm of torque, liquid-cooled. Built for off-road capability, it features a 21-inch spoked front wheel, 220 mm suspension travel, a seat height of 890 mm and approximately 250 mm of ground clearance. Dry weight is approximately 217 kg. The 2020 update to Euro4 did not reduce output – 160 hp is maintained across all model years. This bike does not qualify for an A2 licence.
All four model years – 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 – share the same Gen 1 bodywork, so a single template covers the entire generation. The Euro3 to Euro4 transition in 2020 modified the engine management but left the plastic geometry unchanged.
