What Sets This Generation Apart

The Ducati Panigale V4 2018-2019 is the first series-production Ducati superbike powered by a V4 engine – the Desmosedici Stradale, a 1103 cc, 90-degree V4 developing 214-216 hp at 13,000 rpm (160.9 kW), with desmodromic 16-valve DOHC actuation, a counter-rotating crankshaft, Twin Pulse firing order and an 81 mm bore inherited directly from the MotoGP Desmosedici. This first generation also introduced an aluminium Front Frame chassis, a clean break from the “engine as stressed member” frame of the previous twin-cylinder Panigale 1199/1299.

The 2018-2019 bodywork is specific to these model years: winglet-free front fairing, original screen profile, Gen 1 side panel and mudguard shapes, single-seat tail section. These forms require generation-specific cut templates – a kit designed for the restyled 2020 generation (integrated winglets, 76 mm wider nose) is not compatible with 2018-2019 panels.

Materials and Vinyl

The vinyl used on Panigale V4 2018-2019 kits is premium-grade, 200 to 300 microns thick, selected from professional references including 3M, Hexis, Oracal and Avery Dennison. A UV-resistant laminate is applied to the surface to protect colours over time, resist fuel splashes and withstand standard motorcycle cleaning products.

What is the difference between the 2018-2019 and the 2020-2021 Panigale V4?

The 2018-2019 generation is the original Panigale V4: no aerodynamic winglets, aluminium Front Frame chassis, narrower front fairing profile. The 2020-2021 generation introduced integrated winglets derived from the V4R, a 76 mm wider nose, a taller and more raked screen, and a front frame section with 30% less torsional rigidity. The cut templates are not interchangeable between these two generations.

Is the Panigale V4 2018-2019 A2 licence eligible?
