The template is cut specifically for this LC8 generation – side panels, hand guards and trail-specific plastics – so the fit is exact, with no trimming required on your end.
Before production starts, a digital mock-up is sent to you for approval. You confirm colours, logos and any pilot numbers, then the kit goes into production. Three base designs are available in the catalogue – but full custom remains the most popular choice. Select your version below.
The KTM 990 Adventure (LC8) runs a 999 cc (999.9 cc precise) V-twin engine with a 75-degree V angle, producing 105 hp (78 kW) at 8,250 rpm. The LC8 unit – fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC – evolved directly from the 950 Adventure, with the bore x stroke increased from 100 x 60 mm to 101 x 62.4 mm alongside a revised camshaft. It is the last large-displacement V-twin Adventure KTM produced before the switch to the 1190 Adventure in 2013.
The template covers the full 2006-2013 generation across all three variants: standard (optional two-channel Brembo ABS), S and R (without ABS). The three catalogue designs are a ready-to-order starting point: fixed colour schemes, print-ready graphics, fast turnaround. For something unique, the full custom service lets you choose every colour, add a club logo, a race number or a matte, satin or gloss finish. The vinyl used is between 200 and 300 microns thick. This range provides enough rigidity for areas exposed to stone chips and vibration while remaining flexible enough to follow the curves of trail plastics. An anti-UV laminate is applied to every piece to keep colours intact over time. Films are selected from 3M, Hexis, Oracal and Avery depending on the chosen colours.
