T-MAX 2008-2011 graphics kits are cut to the exact bodywork templates of the Yamaha XP500 third generation, which received a completely redesigned fairing from the 2008 model year onwards. Every kit is made to order in France, using premium vinyl between 200 and 300 microns thick, with a digital proof approved before production begins.

The T-MAX 2008-2011 : a Distinct Generation with Its Own Bodywork

What sets this generation apart

The third generation T-MAX – referred to as the XP500 – was introduced in 2008 with an entirely new fairing and a cast aluminium frame, replacing the tubular steel construction of previous generations. This structural change reduced overall weight and altered the external body dimensions. The front fork was widened to 43 mm, the front wheel grew from 14 to 15 inches, and the fuel tank increased by one litre to reach 15 litres. Braking is handled by twin 267 mm discs at the front and a single 267 mm disc at the rear. The 499 cc parallel-twin four-stroke engine (liquid-cooled, CVT belt transmission) produces 43.5 hp (32 kW) at 7,500 rpm.

Year compatibility

A T-MAX 2008-2011 graphics kit fits all model years in this range: 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. The fairing profile remains unchanged throughout. Note that the 530 cc version arrived in 2012 with different bodywork – templates are not interchangeable between generations.

Which generation do you have?

Two quick checks: the engine displacement on your registration document (499 cc confirms this generation) and the first registration year. The site also stocks graphics kits for the T-MAX 2001-2007 GRAPHICS KITS (first generation, earlier fairing) and for the T-MAX 530 2012-2016 GRAPHICS KITS (next generation). Custom Made in France: Design Options and Personalisation

Standard design or 100% bespoke

Every catalogue design can be ordered as shown or modified entirely. You choose the colour palette from the full swatch catalogue, add your own logos, rider number, and select a gloss, matt, or satin finish. A professional fitting service is also available if you prefer to have the kit installed rather than applying it yourself.

8 designs available

The eight catalogue options cover a range of graphic styles – racing colours, motocross-inspired layouts, and clean minimalist designs. Each one is a starting point, not a fixed template: any element can be changed before the proof is signed off.

Materials and Vinyl: What Goes Into Your Kit

T-MAX 2008-2011 graphics kits are produced in premium vinyl between 200 and 300 microns thick, with anti-UV lamination to preserve colour accuracy over time. Films are sourced from recognised manufacturers in the sector – 3M, Hexis, Oracal, and Avery – selected for their resistance to engine heat and outdoor exposure. Application is done with a squeegee on a clean, dry fairing; the vinyl repositions during fitting and removes cleanly from a properly prepared surface when needed. FAQ – T-MAX 2008-2011 Graphics Kits

Will this kit fit my T-MAX if I have a 2009 or 2010 model?

Yes. The fairing profile is identical across the full 2008-2011 range. A kit ordered for this generation fits all four model years – 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 – without modification.

What is the difference between this kit and the T-MAX 2001-2007 version?

The third generation (2008-2011) introduced an entirely new fairing, a cast aluminium frame, and a 15-inch front wheel. The body shape differs from the first generation (2001-2007), which means the templates are not compatible. Always confirm your model year before ordering.

Is the T-MAX 2008-2011 eligible for an A2 licence?

The engine produces 32 kW, which falls below the A2 threshold of 35 kW. The power-to-weight ratio also sits under 0.2 kW/kg. This scooter is therefore A2-eligible without factory restriction – confirm the specifics on your registration document and check local regulations for your situation.

How many designs are available for this model?

The catalogue lists 8 graphics kits for the T-MAX 2008-2011. Each design is fully customisable in terms of colours, logos, numbers, and finish.

Can I keep the original factory colours or do I need to choose something new?

Both options are available. You can reproduce the factory colour scheme on any base design, or build a completely new palette from scratch. A digital proof is approved in either case before production starts.

What vinyl material is used in the kits?

Kits are made from premium vinyl between 200 and 300 microns thick, laminated for anti-UV protection. Films come from brands including 3M, Hexis, Oracal, and Avery, chosen for their durability in heat and outdoor conditions.
