What sets the 2016-2020 generation apart

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 2016-2020 is a 1,000 cc supersport (998 cc), producing 200 hp at 13,000 rpm – rising to 210 hp with ram-air intake at full throttle – and 114 Nm of torque at 11,600 rpm. The inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine features 16 DOHC valves. This generation was the first ZX-10R to receive the Bosch 5-axis IMU (inertial measurement unit), with a sixth axis computed by Kawasaki software. The electronics package is entirely new: S-KTRC traction control with 5 intervention modes (up from 3 on the previous generation), KLCM (Kawasaki Launch Control Mode) with 3 settings, a standard-fit quickshifter, and engine braking control. The Showa Balance Free Fork (BFF), with its separate compression chamber preventing oil aeration, also debuted on this generation. The wheelbase was extended to 1,440 mm (+15 mm) and the swingarm lengthened by 15.8 mm, shifting weight distribution towards the front.

This bodywork is not compatible with the 2011-2015 generation, which features a narrower and slightly taller fairing. Every kit is produced in premium vinyl between 200 and 300 microns thick, with a built-in anti-UV laminate to protect colours over time. The films are sourced from leading brands in the industry – 3M, Hexis, Oracal and Avery Dennison – selected for their durability in all weather conditions and temperature variations.

Application is done with a squeegee at room temperature, with no specialist tools required. The vinyl is removable without leaving residue on a sound surface, so you can change design or return the bodywork to its original state when selling the bike.
