Every kit is made to order in France in premium vinyl (200 to 300 microns), fully customisable in colours, logos and finishes. A digital mock-up is sent for your approval before production begins. The 990 Adventure was not produced between 2014 and 2023. If your bike carries a model year within that range, it is a different model in the KTM adventure lineup. The internal links on this page will help you find the right category.
The 990 Adventure exists in two generations with entirely different bodywork. Identifying your generation before ordering is essential to receive a template that fits your panels perfectly.
The LC8 generation (2006-2013) is powered by a 75-degree V-twin of 999 cc, liquid-cooled, producing between 100 and 106 hp depending on the source – the R variant reaching up to 116 hp. Its chromoly steel trellis frame built for long-distance riding, twin lateral tanks that double as body panels, and a 21-inch front wheel define this generation. Production ended in 2013, when the 1190 Adventure took over.
The new LC8c generation (2024-2025) uses a 947 cc parallel twin derived from the 990 Duke – a completely different engine architecture, with a new frame and new bodywork. LC8 templates are not compatible with the 2024-2025 generation.
– 2006-2013 (LC8 999 cc): a single bodywork template covers the entire production run. V-twin at 75 degrees, 100-106 hp, chromoly trellis frame, twin lateral tanks.
– 2014-2023: no 990 Adventure produced. If your bike dates from this period, it belongs to a different model in the KTM adventure range.
– 2024-2025 (LC8c 947 cc): new generation, specific template for the parallel twin derived from the 990 Duke.

Every 990 Adventure graphic kit is produced to order in France – nothing is pre-printed or shipped from stock. The process starts with your choice of colours and finishes, followed by a digital mock-up sent for your approval before any material is cut.
A standard kit uses an existing catalogue design available in several colourways. A fully custom kit is designed by our team from your brief: colours, logos, race number, typography. In both cases, a mock-up is always sent before production – nothing is cut without your sign-off. Available finishes include matt, gloss, satin, fluorescent and carbon effect. Stickers Project 990 Adventure graphic kits are produced in automotive-grade vinyl from recognised brands (3M, Hexis, Oracal or Avery), at a thickness of 200 to 300 microns. A UV-resistant laminate protects colours against fading, including during prolonged sun exposure on mountain passes and gravel tracks.
The vinyl is repositionable during fitting, allowing precise panel alignment before final bonding. Application is done with a squeegee at room temperature. Kits are removable without residue on clean plastic, leaving the original panels intact.
Yes. A single bodywork template covers the entire LC8 production run from 2006 to 2013. The plastic geometry did not change across this period – ordering based on your exact model year guarantees a perfect fit.

No. The LC8 999 cc engine produces between 100 and 106 hp – well above the 35 kW limit set for A2-category bikes. Even restricted, the base output exceeds the A2 threshold by a significant margin. The 990 Adventure requires a full A licence (direct access or progressive).
